Dr. Cranston directed this multi-year project by applying conservation psychology principles directly to the co-design of conservation projects with (not for) communities across the United States. This project helped zoological institutions to build upon their own capacity to enhance equitable engagement in conservation by co-creating programs and opportunities in collaboration with the communities those projects would impact the most. Project sites included Zoo New England, Woodland Park Zoo, Roger Williams Park Zoo, and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
