Co-Designing Conservation With (not For) Our Neighbors

Kayla Cranston, Ph.D.

ACTIVE

Dr. Cranston directs this multi-year project by applying conservation psychology principles directly to the co-design of conservation projects with (not for) communities across the United States. This project helps the conservation organizations she works with to build upon their own capacity to enhance equitable engagement in conservation by co-creating programs and opportunities in collaboration with the communities those projects will impact the most. Project sites currently include Zoo New England, Woodland Park Zoo, Roger Williams Park Zoo, and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo with additional sites signed on to begin the co-design process in 2023.
